One of the main components of the meal and determine the "tone" of the meal, are the salads. Salads are an important element of entertaining around the table.
The colors, texture and variety at the table give the appetite and desire to eat.
The salads can be eaten before the meal and also during the meal. Between each dish you can snack on a light salad that increases the appetite or connects the served dishes. Or just fun for the palate.
You can combine the salads with warm slices of bread, or croutons, crispy bread
And of course for connoisseurs, with wine.
Between nostalgia and authenticity
In the Spanish and Eastern cultures (which come from Spain and Arab countries).
It is customary to "slice" and serve on the table a wide and rich variety of salads. (hummus, tahini, different types of eggplant salad, different vegetable salad, hot and/or sweet pepper salad, Harrisa(chili pepper paste) , cooked carrot salad, different types of beet salad. different types of pickles. different types of olives and cooked olive salad (this is a delicacy ) and of course the list is long (I stopped here because saliva fills my mouth)
